Dunefest
It's been a while. Sorry for that. Been busy with other life goals. Xia 3, a band I play in, were asked to perform in St. Pierre - Miquelon, this summer. The festival is called Dunefest, held in on a long stretch of sandy beach.
It was a 4 hour drive to Fortune, Newfoundland. A short hour and half boat ride to a tiny island. I found myself in France.
the experience was amazing. staying in a dorm with bunkbeds like we were in summer camp. A few people tented, and everything was communal. I exercised my highschool french and got by with broken phrases. The food was tastey and different. and the scenic route to the place of stay was beautiful. It was fun hanging with Jing Xia and Brian Downton. A few others from other bands made me feel at home.
