14 Inspiring Immigrant Women
I sat and got teary-eyed to hear my tita Hazel Ouano's speech reflecting on her accomplishments at last night's multicultural gala night. Hearing mom's name and her recognition as well. I will never forget MWONL (Multicultural Women's Organziation NL) who provided resources and create a community for immigrants and new Canadians.
14 immigrant women recognized for their advocacy in human rights, multiculturalism, anti-racism, equality in arts, business and politics. Well deserved to hear them speak on their experiences. Thank you Zainab Jerrett and We Care Foundation Newfoundland and Labrador Tzu-Hao Hsu for hosting this event.
