HeavyNFLD 2025
This year's annual HeavyNFLD organized by the hardworking Ben Chapman-Smith was a smoshing hit. it started this past weekend from Corner Brook to St. John's with local bands and others from away.
It was held at the Wonderbolt HQ and Eastern Edge. Workshops, Raffle tickets to win a guitar, skateboard, lots of cool market booths such as Flipside, Thrive, curated thrift clothes, and many more!
Honoured to play with my band, Potaotbug, it was a great change to get back together once again (before it gets too late to play), and rock out. Experienced a mild ocular migraine, i was worried I wasn't going to be at my best to perform. As soon as getting up on stage, the blindspots and squigglies disappeared and my usual massing migraine came right after. We still rocked it out, great to keep the sugar levels down by movin' and boppin'.
Lots of other bands played that night. Apologies in not getting every photo of bands in here. I enjoyed meeting people, capturing the bands, and hearing everyone's stories. It was nice to meet IBEX, Rat Piss, Alien to the Ignorant, and many more. From Slappa-Saurus at the door, to the crowds, it was so nice to be part of this. Hope you all like the photos!
